国際観光学部では、4年間の在学中に2度の留学プログラム（経営学部　国際観光ビジネス学科生も対象）があります。

長期留学中、または長期留学から帰国した学生の「留学レポート」をご紹介します。

■マレーシア　クアラルンプール　University of Wollongong Malaysia KDU／横山　颯さん（３年生）

New Year’s Eve

　There were many events during Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year's. Malaysia is so hot, unlike Japan, so it didn't feel like the end of the year. Recently I started to work at an internship, and I worked for 5 hours on Christmas Eve. I was so busy. I went to the Sunway Pyramid shopping center, and I went to Shabuyo, a shabu-shabu restaurant which is also in Japan. It was so good! Christmas wasn’t very exciting in Malaysia because the main religion in Malaysia is Islam. Despite that, there were many Christmas trees, decorations, and Santa everywhere. However, if I said "Merry Christmas!" to my Muslim friends, they didn’t reply. It was very interesting.

　Muslims can only eat Halal food, so I ate traditional "Toshikoshi Soba" (Noodles for Long Life) with my Japanese friends on December 31st. After that, we went to the Twin Towers for the New Year countdown. I usually spend New Year's Eve at home, so it is a very fresh and good experience for me to spend New Year’s Eve with many people. What's more, the Twin Towers were lit up in a different color than usual, so they were very beautiful. I want to have a lot of experiences and fun during my remaining two months in Malaysia.

■オーストラリア　メルボルン　Victoria University／一木　紗都梨さん（４年生）

私はメルボルンに留学しましたが、オーストラリア国内にはゴールドコーストやパース、タスマニアなどたくさんの観光地があります。

今回は、友人と1泊2日で行ったシドニーのお勧めの観光スポットを３つ紹介します。

1つ目は「パラマウント?コーヒープロジェクト」というお店です。

世界の有名なバリスタが監修するカフェで、たくさんのカフェがあるオーストラリアの中でも人気のお店です。モーニングを食べに朝早く訪れましたが、すでに満席でした。

2つ目はボンダイビーチです。ここはシドニーで最も有名なビーチです。

エメラルドグリーンの透き通った海で、今まで見た海で一番きれいでした。少し寒くて海の中に入ることはできませんでしたが、温かい時期にシドニーへ行く際はぜひ水着を持ってこのビーチを訪れてみてください。

最後は、オペラハウスです。

シドニーで最も有名な観光地で、ライトアップがとてもきれいでした。近くにレストランがたくさんあるので、夜に行ってライトアップを見ながらディナーをするのがお勧めです。また、私がシドニーへ行く1週間ほど前にイギリスのエリザベス女王が亡くなったため、オペラハウスにエリザベス女王の肖像がライトアップされていました。

オーストラリアは都市ごとに気候や特色が異なる上に、国内移動は航空券も安く、比較的短時間で移動することができるので、渡航した際はぜひ様々な都市を訪れてみてください。
